IMPORTANT
NOTICE!
SUBMISSIONS TO
DARK MOON BOOKS & DARK MOON DIGEST
We will not be accepting
submissions during December 2011.
Please save your submissions
until after the first of the year. Thanks to everyone who
has submitted. This includes short stories, flash fiction,
novellas and novels. The only exception to this is entry to
any of our ongoing writing contests.
We will also be closed to
submissions of all types (except contest entries) during the
month of March 2012 in preparation for the World Horror
Convention in Salt Lake City.
Ordering information for all Dark Moon titles, including
current and back issues of Dark Moon Digest and
Dark Eclipse, is available at the
Dark
Moon Books website.
Coming this fall are three special issues of Dark
Moon Digest you won't want to miss. Dark Moon Presents:
Zombies! and Dark Moon
Presents: Ghosts! are currently available with Dark Moon Presents: Vampires!
coming in December. Each issue will showcase the
winning entries in the various contests we have sponsored
over the past few months plus other great tales. In addition
to the great cover art below, when you place all three books
side-by-side, the back covers will create a unique panoramic
work of art by Claire Beard. For ordering information, please
visit the Dark
Moon Books website.

Attention:
Blind Hunger Fans
For fans of Araminta Star Matthews' zombie
apocalypse novel, here is some great news. Matthews will be
writing a 4-part serial paraquel to Blind Hunger
beginning with Issue #6 of Dark Moon Digest. "The Warehouse"
will tell the story of Sage's friend, Amanda, and how she and
her friends manage to secure themselves in the
warehouse--the very same warehouse to which the crew of
Blind Hunger is fleeing at the end of the novel. Will it
still be there when they arrive? Just another great reason
to look forward to future issues of Dark Moon Digest. And,
if you haven't read Blind Hunger yet, check it out.
It is available at most online bookstores including
Amazon and
Barnes & Noble. (Kindle and Nook versions are also
available.) |

Attention
Authors!
If you are interested in writing for Dark
Moon Digest, we strongly encourage you to purchase an
issue to see what kinds of stories we are inclined to
accept. We receive hundreds of submissions each week and
only select 6 to 12 for our publication every quarter. If
you want to make it in, you should get to know us a little
better. You can easily purchase a copy at
Amazon and most other online bookstores. |

What They Are Saying
About Dark
Moon Digest
Critics Agree: New Horror Quarterly
Is A Real Killer!
The stories were first
rate, with a level of talent that I had not expected, and
the other features were both amusing and well written. I
would say this is a MUST for any fan of horror!
I've been an avid
reader of "Weird Tales" for a long time, but was looking for
something more to satisfy my hunger for good horror short
stories. Well, this magazine has accomplished that in a big
way.
The first issue was
pretty good. The second issue is outstanding. Kevin
McClintock's first installment of 'Tenants' is powerful. I
think this guy is going to be very big very soon.
Each issue keeps getting
better and better -- better writing, better art, better
direction. The stories range from scary to hilarious and
there's quite a range of artistic talent and creativity in
the magazine's contents. Plus, unlike some smaller presses
I've read, there's a good deal of emphasis done on proper
editing! This is a professional work. I'd recommend anyone
picking up a copy and becoming a fan.
I really love this series. The writing is some of the best
and most diverse you will find in the horror genre. Truly
the best digest, magazine, book of it's kind. I recommend
that anyone who loves horror or just great writing get on
board.
The spirit of DMD is definitely modern and makes free use of
adult situations and dialogue, yet something about it
reminds me of the classic horror I enjoyed as a teen.
This is Classic Spookiness in a book. Like "Tales from the
Crypt" or "Tales from the Darkside". There is some serious
talent in here.
